Give the gift that helps end youth homelessness

Want to give your loved one an ethically conscious, outside the box gift this Christmas? A present that gives back to the community and helps those in need? How about nominating a friend or family member to become a Lighthouse Foundation Lighthouse Keeper.
Lighthouse Keepers are a very special group of supporters who give a nominated monthly donation (no amount is too small) to keep the lights burning brightly in Lighthouse Foundation homes – a safe place for homeless children and young people to belong, heal and thrive. Nominating your loved one as a Lighthouse Keeper simply means an amount of your choosing is donated monthly on their behalf to Lighthouse Foundation.
Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse and homelessness. Its focus is providing children with an environment where they can feel safe, form meaningful relationships and begin to heal from traumatic experiences. For the past 30 years, Lighthouse Foundation has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies. Lighthouse Foundation now educates and supports foster carers in this same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australia’s most vulnerable children.
By nominating a friend or family member to become a Lighthouse Foundation Lighthouse Keeper, you are ensuring there is consistency and stability in the lives of these young people. You and your nominated loved one will play an intrinsic part in providing a nurturing and safe place for Lighthouse’s kids to grow. These donations fund tangible support for vulnerable children including transportation, laundry supplies, fresh groceries, education and therapeutic counselling. The monthly donation can be whatever you’d like. No donation is too small and every dollar helps Lighthouse to continue its lifesaving work.
To nominate a friend or family member to become a Lighthouse Keeper, simply visit the Lighthouse Foundation website . Once they’ve been signed up, they’ll receive a confirmation letter and thank you from the Foundation’s founder Susan Barton AM and a Lighthouse Keeper keyring. This support enables Lighthouse Foundations to plan ahead and continue the vital life-changing work they do every day.
